Madeline is 1!!!!

Today was Madeline's birthday and it was great! We had a fun filled day that was almost all about spoiling our little princess. After all you only turn 1 once!

First, she started her great day by taking 4 steps on her own. Then, we went to get her portraits taken (and one of all of us together). After we ordered the pictures, we went to the food court at the mall and had lunch. Madeline even got to have some french fries. Then we walked around the mall for a bit and found the play area. Madeline got out and crawled around. She really loved the slide and was even able to climb up the stairs to get to the slide, with a little help from Daddy. When we got home Madeline played for a while since she resisted taking a nap. While I was cooking her a special birthday dinner and dessert, she fell asleep in Daddy's lap. We woke her up for some dinner and she gobbled it all up! After dinner we sang her "Happy Birthday" and gave her some madelines (or try this link if you don't know what they are). She loved those too and is taking the rest to Bev's tomorrow to share with the kids. After dinner we tried to practice walking again, but she must have been pooped because all she wanted to do was crawl. Madeline enjoyed an extra long and fun bath and is now off in dreamland. It was an exciting and fun day for everyone! Its really hard to believe that she entered the world just 1 year ago today...she's changed so much and she's the best thing that could have ever happened to us!
