5 Years Old!!!

This week has been a long week of sickness and celebration.  On Valentine's Day Madeline had to stay home due to a fever.  Her sickness continued on and off all weekend, culminating in a nasty ear infection and trip to the doctor Sunday and Monday.  Sunday afternoon we were able to sneak in a family birthday party.  She wasn't the happiest kid that afternoon but we are grateful our family came to celebrate anyway.

On Tuesday the birthday girl headed to school in the morning, but got a surprise pick-up at lunch for a lunch date and play time at the mall.  She has now recovered from her illness and is eating real food again.
